Above is a quick look at my process for designing Campus Recreation's 5K Fun Run t-shirts for FSU's annual Family Weekend in 2021. The key needs from this re-design were:
— Create a realistic map for practical use
— Highlight major campus landmarks
— Note locations of other Family Weekend events
— Update 5K route
— Maintain FSU brand guidelines
— Minimize production costs by keeping the color palette simple
I designed the map icons above to fit with the existing campus logos below.
